The Rats and Cheese

Long time ago, rats didn’t eat cheese and rotten food. They only eat oats and drink milk. One day, the people of brohaem village in Netherlands found a new tipe of food. It’s named cheese. The rats saw how people make a cheese. People make it by refine milk and then store the outcome to a shed for years. Rats think cheese was a rotten food, so they didn’t eat it.

One day, a bad day came for Netherlands. An enemy from the west started a war and attacked them. All villages near the Brohaem were destroyed and only Brohaem can able to withstand. Not only troops and refuges who come to the Brohaem, but also many rats from other village. Eventually, Brohaem’s defend was fall and all the people retreat to a city across the river. Everything in Brohaem is destroyed except a cheese storehouse.

The rats can’t cross the river. And nothing left except cheese and ruins of Brohaem village. All the rats discuss about what they should do next. Some of them go across the river, some go along the river side, and the another stay in the ruin of Brohaem.

All the rats that try crossing the river, die by drown. The rats that go along the river side, found nothing then ruin and ruin, they die in a shore, in the estuary of the river. The rats that stay on Brohaem was survived, but they dying and hunger, because no food were left. Suddenly, one of them remember about the cheese storehouse. There nothing left for them beside death, so they at last ate those cheese, although they think it disgusting. They was survived, and even now they don’t care anymore about the disgusting cheese, ruin and crumb.

The war was seems to be endless until they eat everything that their tooth can bite, to survive. Now, many years after the war, all rats around the world still do the same thing, eat crumb, trash and stealing cheese. That why the rats love eating cheese very much.
