DENPASAR CITY TOUR

In the market , Novi are selling her rice wrap . Suddenly Tina came and wanted to buy Novi’s rice wrap .

Tina                        : I bought your rice wrap one !

Novi                       : Yes , of course . Hey , Tina ! Nice to meet you .

Tina                        : Novi ! Nice to meet you too .

Novi                       : With whom you come here ?

Tina                       : I came here with Gekmas and Dek Oka . They are there ! ( Pointing toward Gekmas and Dek Oka ) . Gekmas , Dek Oka come here ! ( while shouting at them )

And then Gek mas and Dek Oka turned to Tina and approached her .

Gek Mas              : What’s problem Tina ?

Tina                        : Look ! ( pointed towards Novi )

Dek Oka               : Hey , Novi ! You are here ?

Novi                       : Yes , i am selling here . How are you ?

Dek Oka               : I am fine .

Gek Mas              : I am fine too . It’s nice to see you again after a quite long holiday .

Novi                       : Yes , of course

Tina                        : Novi , By the way what did you do last holiday ?

Novi                       : Ouw . I went to Denpasar Traditional Market with my family.

Dek Oka               : I don’t know about Denpasar Traditional Market . Why do not you tell me about Denpasar Traditional Market ?

Novi                                       : Ok . Denpasar Traditional Market is a center of town’s economics which is located in Gajah Mada street, that is main road and become a shopping centre of Bali. You can see closely the Balinese doing transaction among them and local material that support their life. Denpasar market is opened at 5 o’clock in the morning and close at 5 o’clock in the evening. Then, it is changed by the evening market opened from 05:00 pm until at 05:00 am the day after. Meanwhile at Senggol Market in Kumbasari is opened at 02:00 pm and closed at 11:30 pm. The unique of Senggol Market’s name is possiblity taken away from the situation and condition of people movement on shopping where they each others jog because of visitor denseness. This Senggol Market is selling the variety of food, from the cheap Balinese, Javanese and Chinese cookery. It is also sell the various types of clothes from adult until children one.

Gek Mas              : Wow . It’s very impressive

Dek Oka               : By the way , How about you Gek mas ?

Gek Mas              : I went to Bali too . But I went to Bajra Sandhi monument .

Tina                        : Tell me about the Bajra Sandhi Monument , Gek mas !

Gek Mas              : Ehm . In Bajra Sandhi Monument you will see the beautiful monument building that is used to honor struggle effort from the balinese to keep maintain the strong culture. In front of the monument, there is a big courtyard and bali governor office. This monument is strategically located in east side of Denpasar town where the government official offices are located. Bajra Sandhi monument in its development, it has been opened for visitor and to be places of interest or tourist destination in bali in particular when visiting Denpasar town or join Denpasar City tours.

Dek Oka               : It’s so nice .

Tina                        : Dek Oka , what did you do last holiday ? Did you go somewhere ?

Dek Oka               : Yes , I did . I went to Bali Museum . How about you , Tina ?

Tina                        : I went to Jagatnata Temple .

Gek Mas              : Really ? Last holiday , we went to same place ?

Novi                       : Yeah . We went to Bali .

Tina                        : Dek Oka . Tell me about Bali Museum !

Dek Oka               : Yes , Tina. Bali Museum is collecting the ancient and historic item from Denpasar surrounding area. All of the collection in his museum is the historic omissions and heritage from the former era. This museum is just the next door from the jagatnata temple and you can visit to the this place on the opening time only. If the museum is closed, the trip will be connected to Art Center to see the biggest theater that is usually used to present the Balinese Traditional Performance. I have told about Bali Museum . How about you ? Tell me about Jagatnata Temple !

Tina                                        : Ok . Jagatnata temple is very beautiful with full of Balinese ornament decorates on each temple building from the entrance gate until the main temple building. Apposite to this temple, there is a big courtyard with beautiful tropical garden. There is high temple building in the center of temple area that is the main temple where is used to pray to the god by Balinese Hindu. This temple is categorized as Kahyangan Temple and become an altar to the god for Hindu people. If it is compared with the name of Kahyangan Temples or other temples around Bali island , this temple’s name is taken from the name of mount or village which is relevant to the temple located in Besakih Temple area, Ulundanu Batur Temple area , Lempuyang Temple area, Andakasa Temple area , Puncak Mangu Temple area and others.

Dek Oka               : Our last holiday very enjoyable . Why do not we go to Bali again in the coming holidays ?

Gek Mas              : It is a good opinion

Novi                       : Yes , i am agree with Gek Mas.

Tina                        : Ok . How much should i pay your rice wrap ?

Novi                       : You do not have to pay . It’s free for you Tina .

Tina                        : Really ?

Novi                       : Yes

Gek Mas              : You are very lucky Tina. Novi give you free her rice wrap .

Tina                        : Yes , Gek Mas . Novi , Thank you so much . You are good friend .

Dek Oka               : Ok . We should go home now .
